The Great Race.

The Great Race is a 1965 comedy movie directed by Blake Edwards, written by Blake Edwards and Arthur A.Ross, with music by Henry Mancini and cinematography by Russell Harlan. Starring Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Peter Falk, Keenan Wynn, Arthur O'Connell and Vivian Vance.

Showman who is famed for such things as setting speed records and performing escape feats worthy of Harry Houdini, a favorite of women and adventurer, known as The Great Leslie (Leslie Gallant III) is organizing a grand car race New York - Paris. His eternal enemy, envious, but terribly clumsy and ridiculously unlucky, professor Fate with its cheerful and trusting assistant Max - the main rivals Leslie. For the sake of victory, they are ready for everything. Riders accompanied a journalist from the New York newspaper "Sentinel" suffragette Maggie Dubois.


The film was one of the top 10 grossing films of 1965. The film also won an Oscar for Best Sound Effects as well as being nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Song (Henry Mancini/Johnny Mercer), and Best Sound. It was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor - Musical or Comedy (Jack Lemmon).


This film is very kind, funny,beautiful and interesting comedy. And I think that this film suitable for all ages.
